If you want to find the right size for your favourite neck pillow – measure the maximum scope and divide by two. That way you ensure to include heights and length. If needed, fold underneath on the inside.

We use different kinds of silk. We choose the softest density to maximise beauty enhancing benefits. 

During the silk production process, the density and number of silk threads are adjusted to control the weight and density of the fabric – the quality of the fabric in mommy. 

For example, in 25 mommy silk, or muslin (French: charmeuse), the silk threads are woven closer together, so more silk is used than, for example, in fabrics with 19 mommy. Silk fabrics with a higher amount of mommy are also made from multiple silk threads together. In this case one. mommy measurements can be converted to a unit of thread count (TC), which is commonly used to measure the quality of cotton fabric. However. the most commonly used unit for measuring the quality of silk is mommy. Different types of silk fabric and the number of mm in them:

  • organza – 4-6 mm:
  • chiffon – 6-8 mm:
  • crepe (crepe de chine) – 12-16 mm;
  • charmeuse (muslin) French: charmeuse) – 12-30 mm (most often used in bedding): 
  • raw silk 35-40 mm (this very heavy silk with texture).

La Favorite silk is organic, that means no pesticides, GMO’s and chemical fertiliser are used for the Mulberry plantations. No toxic chemicals are used in the degumming or weaving process and silkworms are not harmed. This makes our silk ethical, fair, sustainable and organic. Our production is nearly waste-free. If you re-use your shipping box and re-purpose your gift box, we achieve a no-plastic and no-waste approach together. We ship climate neutral with DHL GoGreen.

We source our certified organic silk directly in Italy. That way we shift most of our supply chain within the EU with its transparent and strict rules. All our fabrics further fulfil the highest organic standards and certifications from source to delivery.

Silk Care

The best way to wash your silk products is on special silk mode with a special silk detergent in washing machine, or do hand washing, not squeeze the product, hang it and let dry naturally, but not in the sun. There is no need to dry clean silk products as silk dries quick.

Machine wash cold is safe for silk products. They are ideally placed within in a laundry bag and tumble dried low to not damage the gentle fibers.

We do not recommend a dryer for silk products as silk is sensitive to heat and might shrink or get damaged.

As silk is naturally stain and dust repellent, there’s no need, for example,  to exchange a pillowcase too often. For normal use – a quick wash every or every other week shall do the job. 

If you love your silk, please refrain from using shampoo or soap for silk. Even detergents for delicates might not be ideal, when they claim to be used for wool and silk as both have different needs. The better you care for your silk, the longer it will return the favour with long-lasting shine and smoothness. We recommend a special silk detergent and an occasional hint of vinegar at the end of the washing cycle for that extra brilliance.

We ship worldwide with DHL Express. For deliveries outside the EU: You will be responsible for taxes and duties upon delivery as we are not collecting taxes. Please check individual rates for your destination.

All our products are handmade. If we have your product on stock then we proceed with shipment within 3-5 working days, otherwise it takes up to 10 working days to send your order  (mo-fr) with our ultra-fast DHL Express worldwide delivery. 

We will send you an email with the tracking once your order is sent. 

Unused items can be returned within 14 days of purchase.

We ask for your understanding that the goods:
underwear, sleep masks, scrunchies are not subject to exchange and return.
Since these are a hygienic product.

Tops, shorts, dresses

  1. Bust
    Measure your chest over the fullest part of your bust while wearing a bra that fits.
  2. Waist
    Measure your waist at the narrowest point. 
  3. Height
    Measure from head to toes.
  4. Hip
    Measure your low hip around the fullest part of your hip.

Panties

  1. Waist
    Measure your waist at the narrowest point.
  2. Low hip
    Measure your low hip around the fullest part of your hip
  3. Inside leg
    Inside leg is measured from the top of your inside leg down to the floor.

Bras

  1. Underband
    Pull the tape measure tight and measure around your rib cage, just under your bust.

Measure the width of one breast. Find your band size (1) using the column on the left, and find your cup size (2) using the measurements along the top row. Once you have both measurements look in the chart below to see your suggested size. Helpful hints! If the underband is too loose but the cup feels good, stay in the same vertical column and move to the next smallest band size. E.g. 34B moves to 32C. If the underband feels good but the cup is too big, stay in the same horizontal row and move to the next smallest cup size. E.g. 34B moves to 34A.
