About Silk
At La Favorite, we believe that silk is the epitome of luxury and sophistication. Renowned for its exquisite beauty, unparalleled softness, and inherent qualities, silk has captivated hearts for centuries. Let us take you on a journey into the world of this remarkable fabric.

The Splendor of Silk
Silk is a natural fiber that is spun by the silkworm, a creature known for its remarkable ability to produce delicate threads. The resulting fabric is incredibly soft, smooth, and lustrous, captivating the senses with its luxurious touch and elegant drape. Silk has a timeless allure that never fades, making it a perfect choice for those seeking refined beauty and indulgence.
Unmatched Comfort and Hydration
One of the exceptional qualities of silk is its ability to regulate temperature, keeping you cool during hot summers and cozy during colder seasons. Its breathable nature allows air to circulate, ensuring a comfortable and restful sleep.
Moreover, silk possesses remarkable moisture-wicking properties, helping to keep your hair and skin hydrated. Unlike other fabrics, silk helps to retain the natural oils in your hair and prevent moisture loss from your skin, promoting a radiant and youthful appearance.

Naturally Hypoallergenic
For those with sensitive skin or allergies, silk is a gentle and hypoallergenic choice. Its natural properties make it resistant to mold, mildew, and dust mites, reducing the risk of allergic reactions and skin irritations. With silk, you can enjoy the blissful comfort of luxury without compromising on your well-being.

We also use acetate for some products
Acetate fibers (acetate fibers) include materials obtained as a result of the chemical processing of cellulose. The very word “acetate” (the name in Latin means “vinegar”) is given to this fabric due to the fact that to obtain it, cellulose is affected by acetic acid salts, which convert viscose into cellulose acetate. There are two types of fibers that are made in this way. These are acetate and triacetate (often this difference is not indicated on the product label).
Among the advantages are:
- Acetate products keep their shape well, since acetate has a high elasticity;
- Natural fabrics are susceptible to the negative effects of mold and insects, while acetate has a significant advantage: it does not let water through and dries very quickly, so the development of fungus or mold does not threaten this material;
- Acetate clothing retains body heat;
- Products are easy to wash, do not require ironing. In addition, they have the ability to repel dirt, so frequent washing is not required;
- Drapes beautifully. This quality makes acetate especially attractive for curtains or curtains;
- Despite the fact that special dyes are needed for dyeing, the color palette of materials is quite wide.
The disadvantages include:
- Constant wear or washing of clothing made from acetate silk (artificial) leads to the fact that products quickly lose their original appearance;
- Low strength. The finished fabric is not very durable, may wear out over time;
- Unlike real silk, acetate accumulates static electricity. This problem can be partially solved with the help of special tools;
- The material does not absorb moisture well, so these clothes should not be worn in hot weather;
- Acetate dissolves in acetone, and is also destroyed by acids and alkalis. Therefore, you should be careful with things made of acetate.
Acetate Fabric Care Instructions
Treating acetate silk with care will prolong the life of the product and preserve the brightness of the color. Keeping acetate clothing in its original form for as long as possible will help to follow the basic rules:
- Wash. It is recommended to wash the fabric by hand in water, the temperature of which practically does not exceed 30 degrees. If you are washing in a washing machine, choose a delicate mode, as you can not rub acetate clothes strongly. Do not use regular bleach, avoid using harsh products. If you need to bleach the fabric, it is enough to use hydrogen peroxide.
- Drying. Acetate silk dries quickly. Therefore, you should not use an automatic dryer in a typewriter. You can dry things on a flat surface or vertically on a coat hanger. Avoid exposure to harmful sunlight.
- Ironing. Acetate most often does not require ironing. If, nevertheless, the need arises, it is permissible to iron the fabric from the wrong side, an additional layer of matter is often used. Acetate fiber is temperature sensitive, if the temperature is above 170 degrees, the material will melt and start to stick to the iron.
